Wholesale lithium battery:container tiers and regional partnership for distributors

In wholesale, the unit price is never the deciding factor. Three things are: whether the container basis is clear, what the tier discount is assessed on, and who carries the problem inside the territory. This page sets out the container tier structure, the regional distributor policy, stocking and after-sales division, and the vehicle duty and access basis for the nine markets our distributors ask about most. Retail goes to the replacement page, custom development to the OEM / ODM page.

Container tiers: the structure is public, the numbers follow volume

The structure is public: the larger the container volume, the higher the tier. The numbers are assessed on volume — the same pack sits in a different tier for a single 20GP than for an annual multi-container plan. This page describes the structure only; pricing is confirmed in the formal quotation.

Tier discounts are assessed on container volume and confirmed in the formal quotation. Mixed models, spare kits and custom nameplates all reduce sets per container and are modelled at quotation stage — fix the model structure first, then discuss the tier, or the quotation will keep moving.

handshakeRegional distributor policy

Regional distributor policy: four things that go into the agreement

A policy is worth only what can be enforced, so we list the four items that end up in the agreement. Terms are assessed against territory and container volume; verbal promises count for nothing.

  1. 01verified_user

    Territory protection

The territory and the scope of protection are agreed in writing, assessed against the regional annual container volume and market capacity. The same territory is not licensed twice, and the renewal and adjustment triggers are written into the agreement as well. We do not promise territory verbally — a verbal promise cannot be enforced when it is disputed.

    Agreed in writing
  2. 02inventory_2

    Stocking requirements

The stocking mix follows local sell-through, sailing schedules and clearance times: mainstream models are aligned with what the regional hub holds, so fast-moving lines are in stock while slow movers do not tie up capital. The core stocking list and minimum holding are set in the agreement, so a peak-season stockout and an off-season overstock do not happen at the same time.

Driven by local sell-through and sailings
  3. 03support_agent

    After-sales division of work

The warranty basis is 5 years / 3,500 cycles. We recommend writing the division into the agreement: the spares allocation, remote diagnosis and hub dispatch sit with us, while local installation, on-site troubleshooting and end-customer contact sit with the distributor. Claims run remote diagnosis → hub dispatch → faulty unit retained locally, so a pack never has to be returned to China.

    5-year / 3,500-cycle basis
  4. 04storefront

    Sample and display support

Sample packs, multi-language technical material and display items (nameplates, specification boards, technical sheets), protocol commissioning and local technical training are allocated against the regional tier. A local showroom or experience point is assessed separately inside the annual plan — display investment has to match the container plan, or it becomes a one-off cost.

compareDirect import vs local agent

The choice distributors care about: import direct from the factory, or buy from a local agent

This is not a right-or-wrong question but a trade between cost and certainty. The five lines below are the ones a distributor actually meets: channel cost, model freedom, document verifiability, after-sales interface and tier headroom.

warning

Buying through a local agent / middleman

Less work, one more layer
  • cancelChannel costFactory price plus margin, with an opaque structure that is hard to compare
  • cancelModels and capacitiesYou can only take what the agent stocks, so the fit to your local duty cycle depends on their stocking judgement
  • cancelDocument verifiabilityUN38.3 and the packing certificate are often passed-on scans whose batch and exit port may not match your order
  • cancelAfter-sales interfaceResponsibility travels through another layer, stretching replacement and claim cycles
  • cancelTier headroomThe tier discount sits with the agent; you never reach the volume tier your containers would justify
An agent is not automatically wrong — but channel cost, model freedom and the responsibility interface must all be in the contract.

publicDestination markets

Nine markets our distributors ask about: duty and access

These are the markets where wholesale and distributor enquiries concentrate. In the access column we list only what we can substantiate: the transport document set that travels with the container, plus destination approvals already established. Everywhere else, current local regulations govern — we do not guess at standard numbers.

Access documents are configured to the destination port and we do not list standard numbers one by one here. For a market not in the table, send the destination port and vehicle type and we will check the document and inspection route against current local regulations.

helpWholesale FAQ

Wholesale and distributor questions

What does a full container cost?expand_more
We do not publish a guess range. Container pricing is modelled on destination port, payload, daily distance and motor rating, and moves with the model structure (48V / 60V / 72V platform and capacity step), the document set travelling with the container, and the volume tier. Send the duty cycle and destination port and we will return FOB / CIF pricing, container volume and the delivery schedule.
How are the tier discounts calculated?expand_more
The structure is public: the higher the container volume, the higher the tier, with 20GP (about 180 sets), 40HQ (320+) and annual multi-container plans each in their own tier. The numbers are assessed on volume and confirmed in the formal quotation — the same pack sits in a different tier for an annual plan than for a single container. Mixed models and spare kits reduce sets per container and are modelled with the quote.
Can we have exclusivity in our territory?expand_more
Territory protection can be agreed in writing, provided the regional annual container volume and market capacity support it. We do not promise exclusivity verbally — a verbal promise cannot be enforced in a dispute. What goes into the agreement is normally the territory, the annual volume, the stocking requirement and the renewal terms; it takes effect once signed.
Who handles after-sales?expand_more
The warranty basis is 5 years / 3,500 cycles. We recommend writing the division as two sentences: the spares allocation, remote diagnosis (4G-IoT cloud) and hub dispatch sit with us; local installation, on-site troubleshooting and end-customer contact sit with the distributor. Claims run remote diagnosis → hub dispatch → faulty unit retained locally, so no pack has to be returned to China.
How are spare parts supplied?expand_more
Every container carries a free 2% core spares kit (spare BMS control board, high-current connectors, fuses and harnesses, among others), and the allocation scales with the volume tier. Customers holding long-term stock can apply for a VMI safety-stock seat at the regional hub, so an emergency is filled by local allocation rather than by waiting for the next container.
Can we start with a small trial order?expand_more
Packs ship mainly by full container (about 180 sets per 20GP, 320+ per 40HQ), and whether a small trial can be slotted in depends on the model and the production schedule — send the vehicle and quantity together and we will confirm. At sample stage we ship in 3–5 days so the duty cycle is proven on the vehicle before you commit to a container, which is the cheapest way to hold the risk at sample stage.
How do we pay?expand_more
Trade terms can be EXW / FOB / CIF, and a Form E certificate of origin can be issued. The payment method is confirmed by order value and region as agreed in the contract. Pricing is modelled on destination port, payload, daily distance and motor rating, with no unconfirmed extras added later.
How long does it take to reach my port?expand_more
Transit depends on the destination port, the carrier and the sailing, so we do not publish a fixed number of days: once the booking is confirmed we give you an estimated time of arrival. What needs lead time is the dangerous-goods process — both a Class 9 slot and the packing certificate have to be scheduled — so tell us your destination port and pickup plan early. Our nearest ports are Yantian / Shekou in Shenzhen and Nansha in Guangzhou.
