- Dar es Salaam port coastal highway (35℃ / 88%RH): Indian Ocean humidity stays above 85% year-round, and salt-laden sea air corrodes conventional battery terminals into short circuits. TIANQIU uses dual hermetic potting, gold-plated aviation connectors and a die-cast aluminium enclosure, with zero corrosion after 500 hours of neutral salt spray.
- East African red-dirt roughness, shock-reinforced (50G three-axis): potholes, loose stones and unpaved red-dirt surfaces broke conventional fasteners loose. The internal cell frame is a high-strength flame-retardant honeycomb, and every electrode is ultrasonically laser full-penetration welded on copper busbars — no cold joints, no loosening bolts. Vibration qualified to IEC 62133 / AIS.
- Heavy cargo climbing and cut-out-free high-current discharge (800–1000kg · 2C continuous): container yards and produce markets routinely push these vehicles to a one-tonne overload. The BMS runs a dynamic over-current smoothing algorithm for loaded climbing starts, so an inrush current never trips the pack into stall on a gradient. Continuous output is 150A with 300A (10s) of peak headroom.
- Equatorial 45℃ thermal runaway and ducted cooling (8 NTC probes): under direct tropical sun the sealed chassis bay exceeds 55℃. Inside the pack, a nano aerogel insulation layer and directional pressure-relief ducts between cells mean a single extreme cell failure never propagates into a pack fire. Flame rating UL94 V-0, operating range -20℃ to +60℃.

Almost nothing needs major modification. Our pack is a same-size replacement. You need to: fit the matching LiFePO4 water- or air-cooled smart charger (supplied as a complete kit with the pack); check the load capacity of the vehicle main harness and use the high-temperature flame-retardant high-current connector we supply; and if the vehicle has a specific instrument cluster, use our LCD SOC percentage coulomb counter or interface over the 485 protocol.
Dar es Salaam is 35℃ year-round with 50℃ road surfaces — will the pack trip into over-temperature protection constantly?expand_more
No. We made two core optimisations for East African heat: low internal-resistance A-grade cells below 0.35mΩ per cell, which self-heat very little under high-rate continuous discharge; and an industrial extruded aluminium thermal baseplate that conducts heat through silicone pads directly to the enclosure surface. The BMS thresholds are calibrated for equatorial duty — warning at 58℃, cut-off at 65℃ — and normal heavy-load temperature rise stays within 42℃.
Who handles TBS PVoC clearance in Tanzania, and how is the cost calculated?expand_more
TIANQIU provides a turnkey service. We hold long-term product certification registered in Tanzania, arrange for SGS or CCIC inspectors to verify at the factory before shipment, and provide the buyer with the original CoC certificate that can be redeemed directly in the TANCIS system. On container orders we can include the PVoC inspection fee inside the total CIF Dar es Salaam price.

Every commercial tricycle pack we build meets strict IP67 water and dust protection, meaning the pack can sit in one metre of water for 30 minutes with no risk of ingress. Rainy-season flooding and low-lying coastal roads in Dar es Salaam do not affect it. Damage from normal wading is inside the warranty, and every enclosure receives a hermetic negative-pressure leak test at the factory with a test-pass label attached.
